Distinctive Unit Insignia


Description/Blazon
A Gold color metal and enamel device 1 1/8 inches (2.86 cm) in height overall consisting of a shield blazoned: Quarterly Or and Argent (Silver Gray), four mascles in cross counterchanged, a bordure Sable. Attached below the shield a Black scroll inscribed "GLORIAMUR SOLVERE" in Gold.

Symbolism
Silver gray and golden yellow/gold are the colors traditionally associated with the Finance Corps. Gold signifies high achievement and excellence. Black is indicative of strength and solidity. The diamonds suggest the Finance Corps insignia of branch and highlight the unit's numerical designation. The quartered shield symbolizes cooperation and teamwork.

Background
The distinctive unit insignia was approved on 23 September 1993.

From a wreath Or and Sable, a taeguk bearing a lozenge axis horizontal Or charged with a fleur-de-lis Azure, all environed by a wreath of two stalks of rice Or.
